Department of Chemical Engineering
Chemical engineers are helping to create processes and products that affect all areas of our lives — such as developing new therapies to treat disease, creating biodegradable materials, cleaning water, designing battery systems and generating energy. Department of Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering

The co-op model

The Dean
Dr. Scott E. Grasman was appointed Dean of the College of Engineering in December 2022, following a six-month interim appointment. Previously, Grasman served for five years as Professor and Department Head of Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering.
As Dean of the College of Engineering, Dr. Grasman oversees Ƶ’s engineering programs that have an impressive legacy and national reputation for producing highly successful graduates. He focuses on developing new and exciting opportunities for Kettering students so they can succeed in rapidly changing industries.
Grasman holds expertise in workforce planning, production/logistics systems, alternative energy infrastructure modeling/simulation, and engineering education.
